For the protection of horticultural and arable crops, the surface tension reducing and adhesion enhancing preparation shall be added to the spray containing the dose of insecticide, fungicide, fungicide or herbicide applied as specified in the authorisation document. The use of Silwet Star does not justify a dose reduction! The use of the preparation is recommended at lower concentrations (0,025 - 0,05 %) for contact fungicides and at higher concentrations (0,1 %) for absorbents. The amount of water required for application should be selected according to the crop, the surface area to be treated and the type of crop protection machinery used, in accordance with the technological recommendations of the plant protection product used. For herbicides, the recommended concentration is 0,025-0,05 %. In case of heavy monoclonal infestation, the higher concentration should be used.
To increase the effectiveness of plant growth regulators, foliar fertilisers and plant conditioners, use at a concentration of 0,1 %.
Silwet Star reduces the surface tension of the spray and increases adhesion, resulting in better coverage of treated plants. Conventional additives reduce the positive effect of Silwet Star on spray application, which is recommended to be verified by a simple field mixing test. Silwet Star is sensitive to a medium that is too acidic or too basic, so the optimum application medium is between pH 4-8.
Silwet Star also reduces the foaming of spray liquids.
The solidification point of the formulation is +2 0 C. Solidification does not compromise the efficacy of the product, but conditions must be ensured before use to allow it to thaw again and it should be stored in a heated room.
