How does Biocera Wood Treatment work?
The active ingredients in BIOCERA wood treatment and grafting wax are of natural origin and immediately penetrate 1-2 mm deep into the wood tissue after application, killing fungi and bacteria present or on the surface as a result of cutting. The action of the wood treatment is based on the immediate disinfectant action of alcohol and the long-lasting disinfectant action of beeswax and pine resin. Other additives ensure the elasticity and durability of the coating. The film formed during the setting process protects the wound surface from further infection and prevents cellular fluids from being removed. Biocera heals the wound and seals it at the same time, providing long-lasting protection.The prolonged drying time ensures the long-lasting disinfectant effect of the alcohol, while the elasticity of the coating, especially in the summer heat, significantly reduces the tendency to cracking, ensuring a long-lasting coverage of the wound surface even during the growing season.
Use of Biocera Wood Treatment:
Due to its excellent consistency, BIOCERA is easy to apply with a stiff-fibre brush, spatula or flattened branch. It has the particular advantage of being non-frost-hazardous and can be spread well up to 10 °C. It can be diluted with a denatured spirit or washed off the work tool.
