Introducing Sugar baby watermelon:
The most common, early maturing variety.
Morphology:
The fruit is short, with an average weight of 2,5-3 kg, spherical, thin skin, dark green with a lighter marbled base. The flesh is sweet, bright red, crumbly, the kernel is apro, brown with dark spots.
Growing techniques for Sugar baby watermelons:
Sowing:
A heat-demanding plant, sow in the open ground only after the danger of frost has passed, in May, at a depth of 3-5 cm. Planting by seedling increases earliness and results in an evenly spaced stand.
Seed requirements:
3-5g/10 m2 at establishment, sow 2-3 seeds per cluster, which are sown to 1-2 plants after emergence. For seedling production, 100 g of seed is required for 1000 seedlings.
Spacing:
Spacing between rows: 150 cm, spacing between stems: 100 cm.
Harvest:
Harvest in June-July.
