Proposed crop protection technology
In pome, peach, nectarine, plum, grape and tomato crops, control should be based on observations of pest numbers and regular inspections of the crop. It is recommended to time the application in the period before mass emergence against larvae. Spraying should be carried out when the damage threshold (5 moving individuals per leaf) is reached. The amount of spray should be chosen according to the size of the treated area.
Timing of treatment (according to phenological status): for apple fruit, downward leaning fruit, 70% fruit size (BBCH 77), for peach, nectarine and plum, final fruit size (BBCH 80), for grapes, berry discolouration (BBCH 83), for greenhouse tomatoes, 30% ripening (BBCH 83), with a withdrawal period of food health.
In seed-producing maize, the product should be sprayed at the beginning of their emergence on the plants to control damaging spider mites. The pest population must be assessed in advance by plant inspection. Controls should be started when 2 to 3 movers per leaf are found. It is recommended to repeat the spraying once if necessary. Last treatment date (according to phenological status): wax maturing (BBCH 85).
In strawberries, spraying against common weevil is recommended before flowering, in the pre-flowering stage, in the light of the evolution of the threshold of danger. The pest population should be pre-estimated by a plant survey. Control should be started when 2-3 moving individuals per leaf are found.
Control of strawberry caterpillar should be carried out once, either pre-flowering or post-harvest, based on a forecast. When spraying, care should be taken to ensure that the heart leaves are adequately covered by the spray. In strawberries, the addition of a wetting agent to the spray is recommended. Time of treatment (according to phenological status): beginning of axillary bud formation (BBCH 91).
In raspberries, spray the preparation at the beginning of the emergence of the damaging weevil on the plants. The number of individuals of the pest should be estimated in advance by plant inspection. Controls should be started when 2 to 3 movers per leaf are found. Time of treatment (according to phenological status): petal fall (BBCH 69).
