Potassium nitrate is a high quality source of both potassium and nitrogen, which are essential macro-nutrients (primary nutrients) for plants. As high levels of nitrogen and potassium are required for healthy growth, these elements need to be regularly supplied to the soil. The role of potassium (K) in the plant:
