Mechanism of action:
Methomyl is a CARBAMATE-type contact and absorption insecticide in vegetable crops (tomato, eggplant, cucumber, zucchini, cantaloupe, watermelon, squash, lettuce) and vine propagating material production plants.
Contact effect:
Lannate® has a very rapid, disarticulating action on insects. The sensitive insect is killed even if it only comes into contact with the treated surface.
Stomach poison:
Lannate® is effective against insects even if they feed on the treated plant.
Since Lannate® is degraded in the plant in a short time, this effect is also short, lasting about 1-2 days, depending on the dose, the development of the larvae, external conditions, etc. The rapid killing effect is thus complemented by a stomach poison effect. The maximum killing effect occurs within 2 days after treatment.
Technological suggestion:
Apply in cucumbers, courgettes, melons, pumpkins, tomatoes and egg fruits against aphids, mites, tobacco thrips, owl midge, in shoots against greenhouse mealybugs, on the basis of a forecast or when the pests appear. If necessary, treatment can be repeated after 7-10 days.

On vine rootstocks: spray at the time of mass grapevine rootworm infestation or at the beginning of mite emergence, and repeat as necessary.
