What is a grass seed mix and why do I need more ingredients ?
Grass seed mixtures consisting of several species (within a species) are generally used to create lawns and lawn surfaces. Planting with one species (so-called pure seeding) is rarely done. The planting of a few high-yielding grasses (e.g. Hungarian rye-grass, knotweed, reed canarygrass) in a single species is usually considered for fodder production in poorly situated areas.
In any case, planting with grass seed mixtures gives better results. Consider that the species in the mixture have different characteristics and site requirements, so that different sites may have different components that can ensure a closed stand.
Species with different developmental characteristics complement each other well in the establishment of their stands (e.g. species with a variegated growth habit and species with a bushy growth habit). Ornamental grasslands can also be created with a higher aesthetic value by selecting species with appropriate leaf width, leaf colour and other different characteristics.
What are the characteristics of Polder Sport ?
It is a mixture suitable for the construction and renovation of hard-wearing lawns, playgrounds, weekend pitches and sports pitches. It produces a fast-germinating, durable turf. Recommended mainly for compacted soils. It has a very high load-bearing capacity when properly maintained.

How do you use them, how much area does a bag of Sport grass seed mix cover ?
The quantity of seed required for this mixture is 40-50g per square metre. For 100m2, 4-5 kg of grass seed are needed. one bag is sufficient for 400-500m2.
